I decided to explore the Blue Mountains for a week. I stayed in a beautiful home with expansive lands.
I took a long hike everyday.
I tried to figure out how some of these crazy flowers might influence some cool designs.
I learned the Aboriginal legend of the 3 Sister rock formation (above). They were beautiful women who fell in love with members of a rival tribe. The tribes forbade them marriage and a major battle ensued (oh love and war!). A witchdoctor turned the sisters to stone to protect them from the violence. However, he himself was killed before he could reverse the spell.
The blue mountains get their name from the tinted haze that forms because of all of the Eucalyptus oil in the air.
